Description
Development of a diagnostic technique to
detect contaminants at the surface of
composite materials prior to adhesive
bonding so as to insure reliable and
safe assembly.
Objectifs/ Objectives
To show that at least one technique can
detect a sufficiently low level of
surface contamination for which good
bonding is obtained and assured. If this
is obtained by more than one technique,
the one that will be easier and cost
effective to practically implement will
be selected for further development in
continuing project. Evaluation of the
technique will be done by mechanical
testing.
