Description du projet/ Project Description
The use of novel biofuels in gas turbines is becoming imperative for energy security and sustainability. This project will provide combustion characterization using fundamental flames and generic combustors coupled with numerical simulations to develop design tools to handle these fuels with very different properties.

Objectifs/ Objectives
The objective of the proposed research project is to study the characteristics of novel gas turbine fuels in various non-combusting and combusting systems to decouple their interaction with simpler geometries to identify the underlining variables controlling the combustion phenomena to develop eventually useful correlating models from the experimental or numerical data.
