Description du projet/ Project
Description
The goal of this project is to apply the
spinning process combined with a heating
strategy to manufacture axisymmetric
parts made of aerospace alloys.
Experiments combined with finite element
analysis will be used for optimizing
this promising avant-garde application.
Objectifs/ Objectives
1) Characterize mechanical properties,
microstructure and surface finish of
sample parts
2) Determine heating parameters enabling
the success of hot spinning of selected
aerospace alloys (inconels, stainless
steels)
3) Realistic modeling of a hot spinning
process
4) Control the accuracy of the part
geometry
5) Optimize the process methodology
(cost and properties)
6) Manufacture a typical part
7) Transfer the technology
