Description du projet/ Project
Description
The aim of
this project is to demonstrate the
reliability and repeatability of an
automated non-destructive testing (NDT)
system combining different probes.
Information that could not be inferred
separately from them is expected. A
prototype will be built to evaluate the
potential of this method.
Objectifs/
Objectives
1) to
design a proof-of-concept for a robotic
in-situ integrated NDT system;
2) to develop an end-effector combining
several NDT probes to be mounted on a
standard robot;
3) to design data fusion algorithms and
data processing techniques to integrate
the signals from all sensors and
optimize the quality of the extracted
data;
4) to develop a smart controller for the
robot using the signals from the various
NDT sensors and optimizing path
planning;
5) to develop an expert system
overseeing the entire NDT process and
determine if multi-pass is required to
ensure reliability and thorough
inspection results.
