A vibrant tribute was paid to CRIAQ at the Recognition Award Gala held during Rendez-vous du Savoir on October 6, 2011. CRIAQ received an honorary plaque to mark, among other accomplishments, the exceptional results research and innovation have generated for this segment of excellence of Québec's economy.

The fourth NRC-IRAP OSEO Call for Proposals has been launched in the form of a program for technological co-operation between Canada and France. This call for proposals is aimed at Canadian and French SMEs that want to jointly develop a new, technologically innovative product that fills a market need. This CFP is open from August 16, 2011 to January 31, 2012.

The ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (MDEIE), in association with the Québec Government Office in Mumbai, identified trade shows in India which correspond to the Quebec industry development priorities. They suggest accompanying companies during the India Aviation Show which will take place at Hyderabad in March 2012 to make sure that the Quebec industries can meet a maximum of local actors. The 10th Student Aerospace Forum  will take place on March 1-2, 2012 at McGill University in Montréal.

CRIAQ...

CRIAQ is a non-profit consortium, established with the financial support of Valorisation-Recherche Québec (VRQ), Le Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT), industries and universities, to promote and perform collaborative pre-competitive industry research projects primarily at universities.  CRIAQ projects are now also being funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export of Québec (MDEIE)

As the first Quebec aerospace innovation network, CRIAQ’s objectives are to increase the competitiveness of the aerospace industry, and enhance the collective knowledge base in aerospace through improved education and training of students.
