Objectives of the program

CRIAQ aims to stimulate diversity, creativity, talent development and the emergence of innovative people and technological entrepreneurs. The Consortium wishes to launch a new initiative, namely the creation of an annual scholarship program in the amount of $ 10,000, specifically dedicated to encouraging the next generation of women to choose university studies in aerospace. This program will allow three scholarships to be awarded:

  • Two $1,500 scholarships to attract female undergraduate students
  • A $7,000 scholarship to encourage a master’s student

CRIAQ sought two women, one from academia and one from the industry, to support and promote this initiative. Both members on the CRIAQ Board of DirectorsMs. Annie Ross, Assistant Director of Research at Polytechnique Montreal, and Ms. Stéphanie Lemieux, CEO of Libellule Monde are the ambassadors of the CRIAQ Scholarship Program for Next Generation of Women in Aerospace, which was officially introduced during the CRIAQ RDV Forum on February 19, 2021.
