This initiative is in line with CRIAQ&#8217;s international strategy of guiding principles 2016-2021. This coordinated action on collaborative R&amp;D projects between Hamburg and Montreal led to the selection of three collaborative research and development projects.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 11 project ideas were proposed within the framework of this partnership, where three projects were finally selected. These three projects involve aircraft interior composites, new acoustic materials and the aerospace application of augmented reality.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming months, CRIAQ and ZAL will support the teams in implementing the partnerships. Other avenues of collaboration will also be explored to broaden cooperation between Montreal and Hamburg in collaborative research and aerospace innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration between CRIAQ and ZAL is part of the R&amp;D component of the framework agreement signed in July 2016 between A\u00e9ro Montr\u00e9al, the Qu\u00e9bec aerospace cluster and Hambourg Aviation, the aeronautical cluster for the Hamburg metropolitan region in Germany. The agreement encourages collaboration between companies, educational institutions and research centres in both countries in research and development, supply chain development and skills development.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 30 &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About CRIAQ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Quebec (CRIAQ) is a non-profit organization created in 2002 with the financial support of the Government of Quebec.
