Munich, April 3, 2017. – The Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace of Quebec (CRIAQ) today signed a new cooperation agreement with the Ludwig B\u00f6lkow Campus (LBC), an association of Ludwig B\u00f6lkow Campus and Munich Aerospace, to substantially enhance R&D collaboration in the aerospace sector.<\/p>\n
The agreement was ratified today in the presence of a delegation of representatives of the Government of Bavaria and Quebec.
\nThis agreement provides for the two organizations to pursue mutual interests in the areas of green aeronautics, autonomous and integrated systems, aerospace technology for public safety, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. The agreement, the result of two years of effort, will mark the beginning of cooperation between CRIAQ and LBC, which is part of an important partnership between Quebec and Bavaria.<\/p>\n
“This collaboration with our German partners will significantly advance aerospace science and technology. It should be noted that CRIAQ’s contribution will bring teaching and research closer together, which is entirely in line with our desire to train highly competent young people. We would like to thank the Ministry of International Relations and Francophonie of Quebec for helping to fund the implementation of this aerospace cooperation,” said Denis Faubert, President and CEO of CRIAQ.<\/p>\n
“We firmly believe that this agreement will strengthen the existing aerospace and security relationship between Bavaria and Quebec. Both aerospace companies and research institutions will benefit from this initiative,” said Professor Klaus Drechsler, member of the Board of Directors of Munich Aerospace e.V., and Alexander Mager, Managing Director of LBC GmbH.<\/p>\n
