The Ministry of Economy, Science and Innovation (MESI) is providing a total of $8.2 million over five years to support technology demonstration projects for SMEs.
\nCRIAQ encourages you to submit projects, which must achieve the following objectives:
\n– Demonstrate technology in a representative environment;
\n– Increase SME leadership on innovation projects;
\n– Integrate SMEs into the innovation network.<\/p>\n
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
\nProject Evaluation: Evaluation of submissions received according to the meetings of the Scientific Committee
\nTarget project duration: 2 years
\nTechnological maturity level: (TRL) TRL 6 completed at the end of the project
\nTarget scope of projects: $1 million to $3 million<\/p>\n
Eligibility for partnership
\nResearch projects must meet the following partnership criteria:
\n– Project must be managed by a small or medium enterprise (SME);
\n– Minimum of two industry partners;
\n– Minimum of two educational or research institutions;
\nThe selected research projects should be oriented towards SMEs.
\nDetails on project funding<\/p>\n
Contributions of the actors:
\n– Maximum public funding in accordance with program rules;
\n– Maximum of 50% in cash and in kind from industry members (salaries are recognized as a cash contribution);
\n– Maximum of 50% financial assistance from the MESI;
\n– Additional funding from other programs where applicable.
\nThe beneficiaries of the funding are industries as well as educational and research institutions.<\/p>\n
Approval process
\nThe research project must be approved by CRIAQ:
\n– Evaluation by the Scientific Committee;
\n– Approval by the Board of Directors (if required);
\n– Submission to MESI.
\nApproval by other programs may be required where applicable.<\/p>\n
