C3RIOS is a start-up founded in 2021 by two former senior engineers and product managers at CMC. It develops modular and reusable applications for basic aircraft navigation as well as for specialised operations. Its solutions are flexible and tailored to the needs of target markets, minimising the effort involved in the certification process. The company also aims to develop innovative features such as the use of touch screen technology and voice recognition to improve cockpit ergonomics.
As part of the personalized support provided by the Accelerating Innovation program coaches, C3RIOS’ objective was to identify new avenues in the drone and electric air mobility sector as well as strategies to be implemented in order to make its solutions as generic as possible. Thanks to its participation in the program, the company was able to confirm its business plan and identify new areas to target within the drone and vertical take-off and landing aircraft markets. The support provided by the programme coaches also enabled the company to:
- Plan and report on its development prospects beyond its current project over a 3 to 5 year perspective;
- Identify a new positioning in the emerging value chains in the advanced air mobility sector (drones, electric aircraft, urban mobility/autonomous passenger transport);
- Identify key partner networks to penetrate these mobilising emerging sectors;
- Implement a strategy for the management and valorisation of intellectual property in line with the objectives of R&D development and market diversification.
The interaction was highly productive and provided us with insights into new market segments. The coaching was well-suited to the business model envisioned by C3RiOS. It also furnished us with valuable information and facilitated connections with industry leaders.
