CRIAQ International

The CRIAQ International program aims to stimulate R&D activities within collaborative projects that have the potential to lead to the commercialization of product or process technologies.
The networks of CRIAQ and Espace Aéro can be leveraged to identify and qualify potential partners in targeted collaboration countries.

Eligibility 

The collaborative research partnership must include at least:

• Min. 1 SME industrial partner (in Québec)
• Min. 1 research organization (in Québec)
• Min. 1 industrial or research partner (internationally)

Financing 

• CRIAQ and MEIE financial support can cover up to 40% of the project’s monetary value in Québec (eligible activities carried out in Québec);
• CRIAQ’s financial support can reach up to $500,000 per year, for a maximum of $1,500,000 for projects lasting 2 to 3 years;
• Industrial or private partners must contribute together at least 20% of the project’s total monetary value;
• Government funding may total up to 80% of the project’s overall cost;
• CRIAQ will provide an additional financial contribution of $10,000 per year per project to Québec SMEs involved in a project, in the form of a grant.

The CRIAQ project portfolio team will support you in setting up a national project agreement. On a case-by-case basis, the CRIAQ team may also guide you through the process of ratifying an international agreement for these projects.
